"RIGHT WHERE HE WANTS US TO BE"
As I share this post, I also want to share that it's entire content, came forth as a result of responding to an email from my best friend. As I began to write a response, the Lord just immediately began to open up the "eyes of my understanding" and reminded me of some very important truths that He had shown me..told me.
I am going to share it with you just the way it unfolded. The following were the words of her email:
"I have a hard time when people say God has you right where you should be. Then, I think really God..this is it? This is right where you want me? Really? Maybe He didn't put me here, I put myself...I think that is more the truth....."
(the following unfolded as I responded to her comments..)
I "hear" what you are saying. I have said it myself many times. I think because I "just wanted to believe that God was guiding my steps".... so He must have put me where I am....We do make a lot of choices that place us where we are....and have us doing what we are doing...I wanted to feel good about my choices.
The truth is.....if we are pursuing a life in Christ...if we have surrendered our life to Him...then we are always in His hands...His arms..and that is the place we are, where He has for us to be...and this should be the definition of our "should be place".
He knows all of the choices that we are going to make..and He says He uses "all things for our good." I don't think God gets so hung up on the "place" I find myself in today as I do at times...Nothing I have said or done is a surprise to Him. The thing is also, in pursuing our relationship with Him....and as we grow in knowing Him...we want to choose what is "right"....and in this choosing....we are often taken away from our "desires" and.....find ourselves going through difficult stuff. ***
Psalm 37:22-24 (nkjv)
"For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, but those cursed by Him shall be cut off. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord "upholds" him with His hand."
I remember asking God, many times, am I in Your will.....am I where You want me to be..,..am I doing what You want me to do?.....and then one day I said to Him..."I'm getting tired of asking You if I am in Your will".....it was like I was "bound up in uncertainty".....and Jesus spoke to me totally clearly...........He said:
"Don't you know that the will of My Father is that you would know Him.....that you might know "the height, the depth, the width of His love".......I remember that I felt an immediate release of weight from upon me."

Our choices were still OK....because He is right here with us every step of the way....the enemy wants us to beat ourselves up about our choices...BUT GOD....He has brought me to a "new day' in Him..there is still "stuff"... but it is as He told me a couple of weeks ago...."It's all just stuff".....( since the original writing of this email..I have come to understand that by saying this to me.. He was reminding me that: "More important than the "stuff" is my knowing Him and knowing His love for me, and that is where He wants me to keep my focus..place my attention..on Him.")
So, my friend, I would say that what you said has truth to it...and our blessing is...
"He is with us as we make every decision.....and because we want to do as He teaches us.....we try to make the ones that we believe that He would want us to...and because of this.....He uses our choices and brings us into a great knowledge of Himself......His Love for Us..."

I will share with you that I was then, and still am..right now, very thankful for the unfolding of the content of this email between myself and my closest friend..my closest earthly friend...for "my greatest, and closest, friend of all, Jesus Christ", once again spoke so clearly into me, that the most important thing that our Heavenly Father wants us to know is His Love...His Love which knows no bounds...so much so that He sent us His only Son Jesus Christ, who willingly gave His life on the Cross of Calvary to bring this good news to us.
I pray that you have this knowledge of God today..He is only a step and a word away..you can come as you are..Let Him do the rest...
