Do you go through times when you feel totally unsettled? You don't fully know why..But, you keep moving into a deeper sense of unsettledness..You say to yourself..what is going on?..this has to go! Then you start doing "things" to either get your mind off the unsettledness..OR, you start asking yourself questions as to what could it be that has brought you to "The Unsettled Place." The risk here, by asking too many questions, is increased unsettledness!
Are you still with me? I know I am not the only one this happens to, so I am hopeful, by sharing, it might help others to not step into a place that God does not have for us!
I know that God is having me blog about this today because..all I have said so far describes what I have been experiencing...I began to feel the unsettledness last night and again this morning.
Ah, But God! He began to speak to me again, reminding me that I never have to "hang around in the unsettled place for any length of time." As I am writing this, I am reminded of His word in Isaiah that I talked about in an earlier blog:
"I (God) will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is stayed on Me." (Isaiah 26:3 paraphrased)
This is true..but additionally today, He has re-spoken a word to me that He gave me for direction an earlier time. I had called out to Him "to settle me down." There was a lot of chaos around me..What He led me to, in His word, is:
PSALM 91:1-4((nkjv)
"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God , in Him I will trust." Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler."
This is the place that He has for us...hiding under His shadow..dwelling in His presence..High above all of the "unsettledness, the chaos" of this life...The enemy of our soul tries to convince us that there is no place to go to remove ourselves from struggle, strife or even uncertainty..
"BUT GOD, HIMSELF, IS THE ANSWER TO OUR QUESTIONING..HE ALONE IS OUR REFUGE, OUR SHIELD..OUR DEFENSE..AND HE ALONE HOLDS THE TRUTH TO ALL OF OUR CIRCUMSTANCES."
He also encourages us to focus on certain things to help us keep our thinking aligned. He actually tells us to meditate upon them:
PHILIPPIANS 4:8-9
"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-
meditate on these things."
"The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me,these do, and the God of peace will be with you."
There it is again.."the God of Peace will be with you."..I don't know about you..but I know that I need to spend time "honestly meditating" on the above..so much so that it becomes my way of reacting to chaos...to "unsettledness."
I can tell you that just talking about it and receiving His word afresh in to my mind..my spirit is strengthening to me and I pray that you have been strengthened in the "place that you are in."
"We all walk this road together..we are never alone because He is always with us...but how much better we are when we call out to each along the way."
His word declares: "For where two or three are gathered to gather in My name, there am I in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20 American Standard)

"MORNINGS BEAUTY"
I love mornings. It is my favorite time of day..I recall a time, when my children were growing up, that I would rise before they did so that I could go outside, cup of coffee in hand, and "drink in",(along with the coffee),the "wonder of the new day." A time of stillness and serenity..It was as though I was all by myself, having no requirements to do anything other than being quiet.
Treasured time!
Many years have passed since that initial "season" of my loving "Mornings Beauty." Also, life's activities changed the focus of mornings for quite some time..
BUT NOW, I am again blessed with the gift of having my days begin by basking in the beauty of the new day!
There are differences however.The biggest one being that I am not alone. I never was alone, but I didn't know that I wasn't alone. I was too focused on myself to know that He was with me..
"HE" is God. He is now the reason why I so love "Mornings Beauty."God, the father, God, the Son (Jesus) and God, Holy Spirit." From morning to morning,each one speaks to me, revealing to me His wondrous creation, His amazing love and strengthening grace toward me.
They lead me as I go..releasing mercy, love , grace, wisdom and truth, the peace of their presence, enabling me to "walk more securely" through this life they give me.
Some of the sweetest and treasured mornings are ones when I have sat quietly. Quietly listening to the birds singing, watching the wonder of humming birds hover-high in the air, and watching and feeling the gentle breeze as it moves through the trees. I have come to love watching butterflies as they move along. HE showed me that they are totally free. It is reflected in the easy, gentle way in which they go!
He uses what he revealed to me about their movement to show me when I need to make an adjustment in the way that I am moving through my day.
Lamentations 3:22-23 (american standard)
"It is of Jehovah's lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Thy faithfulness.
Spending my mornings with God is like being given the experience of life "In the Garden." Where it all began, and where, I have come to know, He longs for all of us to be again.
This morning I went outside with coffee in hand. It was a simple and sweet time. I knew God was in the morning..I felt the assurance of His presence, His peace.
A revelation was given to me as to what "Mornings Beauty" really is:
"GOD BRINGS THE MORNING-THE MORNING BRINGS GOD"
I invite you step into God's Morning..Receive everything
that He has waiting for you!

"EXCITEMENT BUILDS EXPECTANCY"
Greetings,
I woke up this morning filled with excitement. There is nothing specific going on that I know about. But very quickly, I knew "It was Jesus that had placed it there."
I have come to understand that He was saying to me:
"This is the place that I want you to operate from." And that when I stay joyful and excited about Him, who He is, my relationship with Him, then...." EXCITEMENT BUILDS EXPECTANCY."
Excitement in knowing that I am His, and He is mine..Knowing that He has great plans for me..That He (Jesus) will never leave me..That indeed, He goes before me. His desire is to make it all good, not always easy, but "Good" because of His love for us. The more I focus on who He truly is..then my expectancy that I can trust Him increases.
I love this road He has me walking on, and all that "Know Jesus as their Savior and Lord, are walking on the "same road." Exciting!
If you don't know Him as your Savior and Lord..if you have not responded to His gentle voice calling you unto Himself...I pray, In Jesus Name, that this is your moment, your time, your day.
Jesus wants us all on the same road together..Together being "EXCITED AND EXPECTANT WITH HIM."

"ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE"
Hopefully the "atmosphere" surrounding the "road" that you travel on today is one of "smooth-sailing." But if your life is anything like mine, then a lot of the people that "make up our world" are going through major changes..Changes, (some extremely difficult and frustrating),that have suddenly become necessary...thrust upon them because of a myriad of reasons. The world we live in today is filled with more uncertainty than ever before.
Consequently, there exists the possibility that our ability to stay positive and encouraging towards those that we care about could be hindered. And if we are "struggling" through some issues of our own...the need to respond to their need may not be readily seen. I think the phrase " The tension is so thick in here you could cut it with a knife" is a good expression of what I am speaking of.
When this happens we are faced with making a decision on how to respond to the "Atmospheric Pressure" that we have encountered. " Do we jump into the fray and offer our thoughts, our wisdom (haha), do we act like we don't care, or do we step back and take a deep breath. A couple of weeks ago, Holy Spirit told me: "Don't decide the truth until you find the truth."
When this happens we are faced with making a decision on how to respond to the "Atmospheric Pressure" that we have encountered. " Do we jump into the fray and offer our thoughts, our wisdom (haha), do we act like we don't care, or do we step back and take a deep breath. A couple of weeks ago, Holy Spirit told me: "Don't decide the truth until you find the truth."
The answer lies in stillness...Stepping out of the activity ...getting quiet...listening..
What are we listening for?...We are waiting on and listening for "that still small voice" that so very much longs to guide us into truth and peace...Holy Spirits voice that imparts truth and peace..
After Jesus died on the cross, He told His disciples that He had to leave, but that He would leave His spirit that would guide and lead us in all things..
John 16:13 nkjv
"However, when He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak and He will tell you things to come."
He also said He would give us peace:
John 14:27 nkjv
"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
He also encourages us, in His word, to "Be Still" and to Know He is our God, is with us and is our refuge...
Psalm 46:10-11 nkjv
"Be still, and Know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us. the God of Jacob is our refuge."
This morning, I was feeling increased pressure in the atmosphere around me..I asked Him about it and He told me what I needed to know so that I could see the "Atmospheric Pressure" for what it was...enabling me to stay focused on Him... to respond correctly to what I was discerning..... to step back into His Truth, His Peace..
I pray this will be "The Way of our Days as we continue to Journey Through with Jesus!

"JESUS, THE LIFTER OF OUR HEAD!"
Have you ever had days when you just "know", without question, that you have "heard clearly" from God and that you are "right where you should be." You are in a place of confidently resting in and on Him..You feel excited in your walk with Him..Then....
The next day, as soon as you are up and moving, the enemy comes in and "unsettles your settledness." Robs you of your joy..distorts the vision God has given you..and you begin to question...."Have I heard correctly or I did create the dream, the vision..is this place I occupy of my own choosing?"
Well, this is one of the ways the enemy tries to use to "take my focus off of Jesus." Satan will use anything or anyone to take me off balance, to "shake the land on which I have chosen to stand." The choice made out of knowing it is the right thing to do..made out of obedience to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ..
The enemy comes in this way because he knows that most of the places we are in require our occupancy for a while...and in the choosing to occupy..we get tired..we grow weary...Weary in doing well...
This morning, I chose to read Psalms and there were a couple of scriptures that encouraged me to get my focus right back to where it needed to be..Back on the "ONE" who has already endured everything that I will ever have to go through.The only vision that matters and that shows me the way through and upwards.
I would like to share His word with you:
Psalm 3:3-4 (nkjv)
"But You, oh Lord, are a shield for me, my Glory and the Lifter of my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill." Selah (pause and think about that)
Psalm 5:11-12 (nkjv)
"But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend (protect,cover) them;Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You. For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield."
Just now, as I am writing this, I am reminded of another scripture..that speaks, ever so clearly of the place our focus needs to remain...
Psalm 121 (nkjv)
" I will lift my eyes to the hills--From whence comes my help? My help comes from the lord who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved (slip); He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper (protector); The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve (keep) you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve (keep) your going out and your coming in, From this time forth, and even forevermore."
"Lord Jesus, I thank You that as we trust and lean on You, that you bring our focus right back to where it needs to be..Looking upward to You...Oh Lifter of our head, we love You.'

"STEPPIN' OUT"
I am excited about beginning this blog today..Thursday, June 14,2012..I have thought to do so before..my daughter has also encouraged me....However, today, I am stepping into this "blog" at the encouragement of Holy Spirit..I am a follower of Jesus Christ..He is my Savior, my Lord and King..
I chose "Wayfarin' Stranger" because that is exactly what I am...I am just passing through..and I am "Sojourning with Jesus." Knowing that He is "Leading me home keeps me going!"
"Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca (weeping) they make it a spring. The rain also covers it with pools (blessings). they go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion." Psalm 84:5-7 nkjv
"He has made everything beautiful in its time.Also, He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end." Ecclesiastes 3:11 nkjv
We are living in times of great change...(As children of God, a very exciting time!)..Times of uncertainty..many are fearful..Lot of shifting and changes going on...My hearts desire...indeed my prayer, is that the "words" posted in this blog will be totally led...inspired, by Holy Spirt, ..and that they will unite and encourage all who "step into this blog as "we' walk through the land He has given us."..Also, that the words shared will flow out "as a call back to those who may be going through a place that some of us have already gone through."
Isaiah 26:3 says:
" You will keep him in perfect peace , Whose mind is stayed on You..Because he trusts in You."
